Kitchen casualties

I broke my favorite mug and one of my favorite glasses last night.
I've gone months without breaking anything, and then, in one fell swoop from the dish cupboard...
The mug was bright red, with a flared lip and braided decoration around the bottom. It looked substantial and well balanced, but was light and easy to hold. The handle was just the right size, with an opening the size of my hand - perfect for drinking coffee on Saturday mornings. It even matched the stripes on my couch.
